What are the benefits and why should I hire a business coach?
A business coach is an independent observer, free of pre-judgement, bringing unconditional support and a keen interest in fully understanding the client's focus, vision and goals. A coach will first help the client become very clear about the intentions that will draw the business forward and only then will the process move towards implementation. No sense heading somewhere if that's not where you really want to go.
A business coach:
- Champions results. Sometimes we forget (or haven't figured out) why we are in business.
- Creates opportunity out of challenge. Oddly enough, that door isn't always locked and there are other doors to try.
- Fosters a customer-centric orientation. Wow, what a concept, customer first.
- Integrates the success of the customer, the business and the employee. It's a bit like juggling isn't it?
- Evokes an inspiring, compelling vision. Do you feel like you're pushing all the time? Try front wheel drive.
- Incorporates the compelling vision throughout all business processes. Get all aspects of the business pulled along rather than having to push all the time.
- Employs core values as a context for all decision making. Is making the "right" decision a struggle?
- Effects a shift in dynamics. Sometimes it just takes a tweak here or there.
- Advocates life balance. Do you really believe your employees are your most important asset; especially if you're a solo entrepreneur?
- Stimulates renewal. There's nothing so constant as change. Why fight it?
- Encourages social responsibilities. You and your business are living in the real world, why ignore it?
